Return & Refund Policy

This Return & Refund Policy ("Policy") applies to all purchases made through the AsicXchange website (https://asicxchange.com). By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.

1. General Principle

AsicXchange specializes in cryptocurrency mining equipment, including both new and pre-owned (used) hardware. Due to the specialized nature of our products, return eligibility depends on:

  • The condition of the product at the time of purchase (new vs. used)
  • The specific terms communicated at the time of sale (e.g., warranty status, DOA coverage)
  • Whether the product is defective on arrival (DOA)

In accordance with Canadian consumer protection laws, AsicXchange is not obligated to accept returns of non-defective merchandise. However, we are committed to fair and transparent practices — this Policy defines exactly when returns and refunds are available.

2. Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy

2.1 What Is DOA?

A product is considered Dead on Arrival (DOA) if it arrives non-functional or materially different from its advertised specifications, and the issue is reported within the applicable DOA window.

2.2 DOA Coverage Period

The DOA coverage period is specified at the time of purchase and varies by product:

New equipment (manufacturer-sealed): Covered by manufacturer warranty (typically 12 months); DOA inspection window: 14 days.
Pre-owned equipment with DOA coverage: 7–14 days (specified per listing).
Pre-owned equipment sold "as-is" (no DOA): No DOA coverage (sold at a discount with explicit buyer acknowledgment).

Products sold without DOA coverage are clearly marked as such at the time of purchase. By completing the purchase, the buyer accepts these terms.

2.3 DOA Claim Process

If you believe a product is DOA:

  • Notify us immediately — contact our support team at contact@asicxchange.com or call +1 (514) 612-7954 within the applicable DOA window
  • Provide evidence — we may request photos, videos, hash board diagnostic data, or other documentation of the issue
  • Our assessment — we will evaluate the claim and determine the appropriate remedy

2.4 Remedies for Valid DOA Claims

For products covered by DOA warranty, we offer (at our discretion):

  • Replacement — a functionally equivalent product
  • Repair — arrangement for repair where feasible
  • Refund — full refund of the purchase price, processed within 2 business days of claim approval

For DOA claims, AsicXchange covers the return shipping costs.

3. Non-DOA Returns (Change of Mind)

AsicXchange does not offer automatic returns for products that are functional and as-described. However, we understand that circumstances vary.

Returns for non-defective products may be considered on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. If accepted:

  • The buyer must contact us within 14 days of delivery
  • The product must be in the same condition as received, including all accessories
  • Original packaging is strongly recommended — products returned without adequate protective packaging may be refused or subject to reduced refund
  • The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • A full inspection is required before any refund is issued

We do not charge restocking fees.

4. Non-Returnable Items

The following are not eligible for return under any circumstances:

  • Custom or special-order products — any item ordered specifically at the buyer's request, including configurations, accessories, or services not part of our standard inventory
  • Pre-orders and backorders — once a pre-order is confirmed and payment is processed, cancellations and refunds are not available, as the product is procured specifically for the buyer
  • Products sold explicitly "as-is" without DOA coverage — these are sold at a discount with the buyer's informed consent that no returns or refunds apply
  • Products damaged by the buyer — including improper installation, overclocking beyond specifications, physical damage, liquid damage, or use with incompatible power supplies

5. Product Testing & Inspection

We encourage buyers to thoroughly test equipment upon receipt. Opening the package and connecting the equipment for testing is expected and does not void return eligibility (where returns are available). We may provide hash rate reports (hash board diagnostics) for pre-owned equipment upon request.

6. Refund Process

6.1 Refund Method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase:

  • Cryptocurrency (BTC, USDT, USDC, etc.) — typically processed within minutes to hours of claim approval, subject to blockchain confirmation times
  • Bank transfer / wire — processed within 2 business days; actual receipt depends on the banking network (typically 1–5 business days)
  • PayPal — processed within 2 business days of claim approval
  • Other methods — processed using the same method where technically possible

If the original payment method is unavailable for refund, we will coordinate an alternative method with the buyer.

6.2 Processing Timeline

  • Claim approval to refund initiation: within 2 business days
  • Refund initiation to funds received: varies by payment method (see above)

7. Exchanges

Exchanges are handled as follows:

  • DOA products — replacement with equivalent or similar product (see Section 2.4)
  • Non-DOA exchanges — considered on a case-by-case basis; may be subject to price difference adjustment and return shipping costs

8. Warranty Information

8.1 New Equipment

New, manufacturer-sealed equipment is covered by the manufacturer's warranty (typically 12 months). Warranty claims are handled through the manufacturer's RMA process. AsicXchange assists with warranty facilitation but is not the warrantor.

8.2 Pre-Owned Equipment

Pre-owned equipment is sold with the warranty terms explicitly stated at the time of purchase:

  • With DOA coverage — the product is guaranteed to arrive functional and match advertised specifications. The DOA window (typically 7–14 days) is your testing and inspection period.
  • Without DOA coverage — the product is sold "as-is" at a discounted price. The buyer accepts the product in its current condition with no warranty.

9. Shipping Damage

If a product arrives with visible shipping damage:

  • Document the damage — photograph the package before opening, and photograph any damage to the product
  • Note damage on delivery receipt — if the carrier allows notation
  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at contact@asicxchange.com

We will work with the shipping carrier to resolve the claim and determine the appropriate remedy (replacement or refund).

10. How to Initiate a Return or Claim

To initiate any return, DOA claim, or refund request:


Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and any supporting evidence (photos, videos, diagnostic data).

11. Changes to This Policy

AsicXchange reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Changes apply to purchases made after the effective date. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that transaction.

12. Governing Law

This Policy and all transactions are governed by the laws of Canada and the province of Quebec. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the User Agreement and applicable Canadian law.
